JOIN US THIS HOLY WEEK
as we walk the road to the cross. During this Holy Week Virtual Bible Study @7pm (link below), we will explore the final days of Jesus' life. We will explore Jesus's trails, His suffering and His ultimate act of love. Together, we will reflect on the powerful moment and people who shaped the journey and mediate on how the journey to the cross still speaks to us today. Join us virtually for three days Monday, March 30th through Wednesday April 1st. Thursday we will gather in person for our Maundy Thursday Meager Meal at Rockport UMC at 5:30 with our worship at 7:00pm and culminate on Good Friday, April 3rd at North Olmsted UMC at 7:00pm. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87384124620

POTLUCK MEAGER MEAL AND MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE:
Please join us on Thursday, April 2nd at 5:30pm for a soup and bread meal, followed by a 7:00pm worship service, with choir singing and communion. Maundy Thursday commemorates Jesus Christ’s Last Supper with his disciples and reminds us of the importance of humility, selflessness, and service to others. Sign-up sheet is posted for the meager meal to attend, make soup, bring bread or butter.

SPAGHETTI DINNER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR APRIL 18TH:
We will need drivers to deliver meals to homebound, bakers, salad dressing and vegan meal option makers, servers, set-up, clean-up, cashiers, and kitchen help. Please sign-up if you are willing/able to help in any way.

BOOK CLUB:
Join us on April 15th, 7:00pm in the church parlor, for book club. “How to Age Dis-grace-fully” by Clare Pooley is a humorous novel about a group of eccentric seniors at a community center who team up with a teenage dad and daycare kids to save their building from being sold. It’s a heartwarming and funny story about friendship, finding purpose, and defying ageist stereotypes. Debbie (Scott) Bryant ordered 15 books. See her for a book. Hope to see everyone on April 15th for food, fun, fellowship, and discussion.

DONUTS AND COFFEE HOUR:
Please consider hosting donuts and coffee before 9:30am worship and/or after worship coffee hour. Fellowship is an important part of the life of the church and why not have food as well! Sign-up sheet is posted on the chapel hallway bulletin board.
TAKE-WHAT-YOU-NEED CABINET!
We’re asking for help in shopping for the cabinet! We have a small crew of people who take turns shopping for the cabinet every so often, and we’d love to have your help! We have a cabinet fund, and you do not have to spend your own money, unless you’re donating items. We have a list of item suggestions available, and if you’re interested, please call the office. Please make sure to turn in your receipts to the office to be reimbursed! Thank you.

Annual Conference 2026 – June 11-13
East Ohio Annual Conference will begin on the morning of Thursday, June 11 and will conclude the afternoon of Saturday, June 13. We will again meet on The College of Wooster campus. The Annual Conference theme is “Abundant Grace” and the words of Matthew 14:13-21 (NRSVA) will ground the services, sessions, and celebrations of our time together. Registration for AC 2026 will open on Wednesday, April 1.
Clergy Executive Session – May 7
This year, East and West Ohio Boards of Ministry will hold a coordinated clergy executive session from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7 at Lakeside Chautauqua. The clergy from both conferences will be together for worship and training and will meet separately by Conference for business sessions. Additional information about the session, the working agenda, and a link to register for the session will be included in the letter clergy will receive from Bishop Hee-Soo Jung.
Members-at-Large
Are you interested in attending Annual Conference as a lay member-at-large from the Northern Waters District? Typically, members-at-large are nominated by their local church at charge conference time. For 2026, the Northern Waters delegation size has been increased to 86, so we have room for more people.
If you are interested and were not already nominated, please have your pastor send an email to the district office with your name and contact details. For more information, feel free to contact Lisa in the district office.
