JOURNEY THROUGH THE GOSPEL OF LUKE:  Wednesdays from 7-8:30pm

Join us for an inspiring Bible study as we journey through the Gospel of Luke, exploring the life, teachings, compassion, and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Through thoughtful teaching, meaningful discussion, and spiritual reflection, we will discover how Luke’s Gospel speaks to our lives and calls us to live out our faith with love, mercy, and justice.

All are welcome! Whether you are new to Bible study or have studied Scripture for years, come ready to learn, grow, and deepen your relationship with God.

Bring your Bible, your questions, and an open heart!

BOOK CLUB:
Join us on November 11th, 6:00pm in the church parlor, for book club.  “Theo of Golden” is a heartwarming, character-driven novel by Allen Levi about an elderly stranger who transforms a small Southern town through quiet, anonymous acts of kindness.  The main message of Allen Levi’s novel “Theo of Golden” is that true goodness requires love, and that intentional acts of kindness can transform a broken world one person at a time.  Hope to see everyone on November 11th for food, fun, fellowship, and discussion.

SPAGHETTI DINNER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Spaghetti Dinner will be Nov. 14th from 4-8:00pm.  We will need drivers to deliver meals to homebound, bakers, salad dressing and vegan meal option makers, servers, set-up, clean-up, cashiers, and kitchen help.  Please sign-up if you are willing/able to help in any way.  All proceeds will go towards church missions.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE FORMATION:
We are looking for people who are interested in forming and becoming part of a membership/welcoming committee.  This committee will assist with welcoming visitors, assisting the pastor with follow up with visitors and planning special new member events.  If you feel like this fits you, please call the front office and Pastor Tennille will plan a meeting to discuss next steps of implementation.

SPRING ARTS PROJECT:
We are looking for those interested in planning an Easter Egg Hunt, springtime crafts and games for our community to introduce our church to new people in the community and beyond.  Special Saturday crafts, games and ice cream would go for three weeks with a final “art show” on a Sunday morning.  Anyone interested in helping with plans for next spring, please let Sara in the office know.

DONUTS AND COFFEE HOUR:
Please consider hosting donuts and coffee before 9:30am worship and/or after worship coffee hour.  Fellowship is an important part of the life of the church and why not have food as well! Sign-up sheet is posted on the chapel hallway bulletin board.

Storyboard Episode 89

By EOC News on October 12, 2026

The Storyboard: Faith Witness Transformation podcast highlights East Ohio Conference ministries using the core values of the #BeUMC campaign: Disciple Making; Belonging & Inclusion; Influence, Connection & Impact; and Experience of God through The UMC.

Episode 89 “Influence, Connection & Impact: Investing in the Local School” features a discussion with Steven and Kimberly Hall, two laypeople at Amboy UMC who started an outreach ministry to meet the physical needs of students and families in their local school district.

“For me it was a new purpose, and I really felt that God led us to be able to help other children. Even something small can have a ripple effect that you never know can touch somebody,” shared Kimberly.

“When we give out blankets in the wintertime or gloves and hats, jackets, snow boots – all of those things allow a family who is struggling to make ends meet to have that opportunity to not spend that money on that and instead they can spend that money on something else like keeping the water on,” said Steven.
