YOUTH & CHILDREN are collecting for kids and youth gently used (or new) clothing, boots, scarves, gloves, and coats for Nehemiah Mission. PLEASE let us know if you have anything to donate. You can drop it off in the next two weeks. We will have a bin under the Christian Ed table outside the Sanctuary! THIS SUNDAY, November 21stwill be the last Sunday for THIS round to collect. The items will be delivered on Monday, November 22nd.We will collect again in the future. Please be watching for that information! ALSO: PLEASE be watching for all of our Mini Missions this fall and winter, as well!

Come one, come all and help prepare the Sanctuary for Advent on Saturday, November 27th from 10am -2pm.  We need people to help with the ladder, hang wreaths/decorate doors, set-up the Chrismon tree, unpack chrismons and decorate the tree, unpack the nativity and set-up, and also we need supervisors to insruct from the pews and have a donut.  Hope to see everyone there!
To date we have 33 pledges totaling $67,242. If you haven’t turned in your pledge card yet there are some available by the treasure chest in the narthex. Also, we received one pledge for $35/week or $1820/year with no name on it.  If you think this is yours please see Sara Chapman. Thanks.
The Annual Rockport Men’s Group Christmas Celebration will be on Thursday, December 9th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Nick Berardi’s home. Nick will provide pasta, meatballs and sausage. Bring a salad, vegetables, side dish or desert and your Christmas spirit!  We always have a great time at this festive gathering.

On Sunday, November 21st, following worship, we will pack military boxes.  Please bring items to go in the boxes or consider donating to this mission.  Any and all help are greatly appreciated.  Questions, contact Jeff Zullo.
Please remember the church office is closed for Thanksgiving on November 25-26th.  Sara will be on vacation from Friday, November 19th-November 26th.  Pastor Don will be in the office on Tuesday, November 23rdfrom 11-1pm. For pastoral emergencies, please call Pastor Don or leave a message on the church machine.  Calls will be checked daily.

We welcome you to stop by the Prayer Tent! Feel free to pray, journal, worship, sit, kneel, stand, rejoice, mourn, and everything in-between! Pray in the way that is comfortable to you. This is YOUR quiet time with God.
Please join us on Monday, January 17that 7pm in the church parlor.  We are reading the book The Guest List  by Lucy Foley.  This thriller novel takes place on an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate two people joining their lives together as one. The groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star. The bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. It’s a wedding for a magazine, or for a celebrity: the designer dress, the remote location, the luxe party favors, the boutique whiskey. The cell phone service may be spotty and the waves may be rough, but every detail has been expertly planned and will be expertly executed. But perfection is for plans, and people are all too human. As the champagne is popped and the festivities begin, resentments and petty jealousies begin to mingle with the reminiscences and well wishes. The groomsmen begin the drinking game from their school days. The bridesmaid not-so-accidentally ruins her dress. The bride’s oldest (male) friend gives an uncomfortably caring toast. And then someone turns up dead. Who didn’t wish the happy couple well? And perhaps more important, why? Hope to see you all on January 17thfor fellowship and discussion and see if your prediction of who did it was right!
