BOOK CLUB:
Join us on March 4th, 7:00pm in the church parlor, for book club. “The Book Club for Troublesome Women” by Marie Bostwick follows four suburban housewives in 1960s Virginia, who form a book club after reading Betty Friedan’s “The Feminine Mystique”, discovering shared dissatisfaction with their seemingly perfect lives, and finding courage and friendship to pursue their suppressed dreams amidst societal changes, exploring themes of sisterhood, self-discovery, and women’s roles. Hope to see everyone on March 4th for food, fun, fellowship, and discussion.

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME BEGINS SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH: SPRING FORWARD

PANCAKE BREAKFAST, March 29th (Palm Sunday):
After our 9:30am worship service, all are invited to a pancake breakfast with homemade buttermilk pancakes, sausage, eggs, and fruit in Wesley Hall. There is no charge but donations will be accepted. Please let Diana Leitch know if you are willing to help.
DONUTS AND COFFEE HOUR:
Please consider hosting donuts and coffee before 9:30am worship and/or after worship coffee hour. Fellowship is an important part of the life of the church and why not have food as well! Sign-up sheet is posted on the chapel hallway bulletin board.
TAKE-WHAT-YOU-NEED CABINET!
We’re asking for help in shopping for the cabinet! We have a small crew of people who take turns shopping for the cabinet every so often, and we’d love to have your help! We have a cabinet fund, and you do not have to spend your own money, unless you’re donating items. We have a list of item suggestions available, and if you’re interested, please call the office. Please make sure to turn in your receipts to the office to be reimbursed! Thank you.

Lent as a Pilgrimage of Holy Renewal
The season of Lent is not merely a liturgical interval in the church calendar. It is a sacred return. It is the time when God gathers us again into the living memory of the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and invites us to inhabit that story not as spectators, but as pilgrims. Amid hurried schedules and anxious headlines, Lent interrupts our ordinary time and reorders it around the life of Christ.
Each year, this holy season comes to us with quiet insistence:
Pause.
Remember.
Listen again.

2026 Intergenerational Lenten Journal
Ash Wednesday is February 18 and Easter is Sunday, April 5. The 40 days in between (not counting Sundays) is the season of Lent, a time of repentance, renewal, and self-examination designed to help us remember our humanness and need for Jesus in our lives.
The Connectional Ministries office has created an intergenerational Lenten journal appropriate for all ages to be used by individuals, families or groups. The Lenten journal contains eight weeks of meditative prayer activities, scripture lessons that follow the lectionary, and a Spotify Lenten playlist of songs. The journal can be accessed and downloaded from the Resources tab of the EOC website. If you have questions about the Lenten journal, please e-mail Rev. Ann Marie Carley, Engagement with Children, Youth, and Young Adults director.
