2022 STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN:

To date we have 43 pledges totaling $98,992.04.  Fourteen people increased their pledge, fourteen kept their pledge the same, and we received 15 new pledges.  Thank you everyone for your faithful stewardship!  If you haven’t turned in your pledge card yet, it’s not too late. Pledge cards are available by the treasure chest in the narthex.  Pledges can be emailed, mailed in, or call the church office and Sara will fill one out for you.  Thanks.

MEN’S GROUP DECEMBER CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION:
The Annual Rockport Men’s Group Christmas Celebration will be on Thursday, December 9th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Nick Berardi’s home. Nick will provide pasta, meatballs and sausage. Bring a salad, vegetables, side dish or desert and your Christmas spirit!  We always have a great time at this festive gathering.

PARSONAGE OPEN HOUSE:
If you know someone who is looking for a home in Rocky River, there will be an open house 12 -5, this Saturday and Sunday. The listing price is $375,000, four bedroom, three full baths, 3680 Archwood Dr. in West River Estates. Fellow Rockporters, feel free to come and see what the house looks like.  Thanks to all who have put time and effort into sprucing up the house and making it ready for listing.

PRAYER TENT:
We welcome you to stop by the Prayer Tent! Feel free to pray, journal, worship, sit, kneel, stand, rejoice, mourn, and everything in-between! Pray in the way that is comfortable to you. This is YOUR quiet time with God.

BOOK CLUB:
Please join us on Monday, January 17that 7pm in the church parlor.  We are reading the book The Guest List  by Lucy Foley.  This thriller novel takes place on an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate two people joining their lives together as one. The groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star. The bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. It’s a wedding for a magazine, or for a celebrity: the designer dress, the remote location, the luxe party favors, the boutique whiskey. The cell phone service may be spotty and the waves may be rough, but every detail has been expertly planned and will be expertly executed. But perfection is for plans, and people are all too human. As the champagne is popped and the festivities begin, resentments and petty jealousies begin to mingle with the reminiscences and well wishes. The groomsmen begin the drinking game from their school days. The bridesmaid not-so-accidentally ruins her dress. The bride’s oldest (male) friend gives an uncomfortably caring toast. And then someone turns up dead. Who didn’t wish the happy couple well? And perhaps more important, why? Hope to see you all on January 17thfor fellowship and discussion and see if your prediction of who did it was right!
