We will gather at North Olmsted United Methodist, 4600 Dover Center Road, for a picnic on Sunday, August 17, 12:00pm. VBS NIGHT CAMP!

I would like to thank everyone who participated, baked, volunteered, or taught in any way in the last several weeks of VBS Night Camp!
We had fun traveling to Esther’s Palace and learned about the story of Esther, Purim, Shabbat, ate some Challah Bread, made Challah covers, and played some games… we learned where Samson got his great strength from, and how he lost it… participated in some STRONG challenge games, and ended up outside of Nineveh where Jonah tried to run and hide from God. We had some games and lessons, wore Jammie’s, and had breakfast for dinner! GOOD TIMES!

COFFEE HOUR:
Please consider hosting coffee hour and sign-up on the bulletin board.  Fellowship is so important to the life of the church and why not have a little snack at the same time!

In Episode 65 “Campus Ministry: Reaching the Seeking Generation” we feature a roundtable discussion with Rev. Dr. Tim Morrison, University of Mount Union chaplain, and UMC Berea Pastor Dr. Stephen Knisely and Campus Minister Judy Hammer to discuss how churches and universities are connecting students to Jesus.

Morrison offered, “On a weekly basis we have somewhere between 350 and 400 individual students that are interacting with spiritual life in some way or another. It’s almost a quarter of the student body.”

Hammer shared that “college students are waiting and wanting authentic conversation with their peers around faith. They want to have engaged conversations, and hopefully along that journey there’s the right moment of invitation to come to the church. But a lot of it’s happening outside the church walls.”
