COME TO ROCKPORT ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND SEE OUR BEAUTIFUL CHRISMON TREE:  
In the mid 1970’s, members of Rockport United Methodist church made ornaments for the Chrismon tree that included forty-five different symbols. Now 50+ years later, we still decorate the tree with these Christian symbols. Chrismon’s proclaim the Name, the Life and the saving acts of our Lord, Jesus the Christ. The word Chrismon is made from the two words, Christ and monogram. The evergreen tree, with branches always green symbolizes the eternal life our Lord Jesus has won for us. Upon it, the tiny white lights remind us that He is the Light of the world. In the narthex u may pick up a Chrismon Ornament sheet describing each ornament displayed on our tree.  Also, please join us for CHRISTMAS EVE PRE-SERVICE MUSIC at 5:00pm, featuring the Ramblers, Soloists, Instrumentalists and the Chancel Choir.  CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE WILL FOLLOW AT 5:30PM.

2026 PLEDGE UPDATE:

BOOK CLUB:  
Join us Jan 14^th, 7:00pm in the church parlor, for book club.  We will be reading “The Tiffany Girls” by Shelly Noble. This is a historical fiction novel about the largely unknown female artists who created many of Tiffany’s iconic stained-glass works for the 1900 Paris World’s Fair. Hope to see everyone on January 14^th for food, fun, fellowship, and discussion.




GIVING TREE THANK YOU NOTE:  
Many thanks to you all for supporting our Giving Tree which collected Christmas presents for the children of Ohio Guidestone.  Your generous and beautiful gifts were delivered to Guidestone on Friday and will be used for their Holiday Shop which provides an opportunity for Guidestone’s counselors to choose Christmas presents for their clients.  
    Ohio Guidestone offers services for mental health, substance use, family care, foster care, juvenile justice, residential treatment, home-based counseling, job training and more. Their main campus is in Berea, but they have locations across Ohio. Thanks again for your support.  Diana Leitch




DONUTS AND COFFEE HOUR:  
Please consider hosting donuts and coffee before 9:30am worship and/or after worship coffee hour.  Fellowship is an important part of the life of the church and why not have food as well! Sign-up sheet is posted on the chapel hallway bulletin board.




TAKE-WHAT-YOU-NEED CABINET! 
We’re asking for help in shopping for the cabinet! We have a small crew of people who take turns shopping for the cabinet every so often, and we’d love to have your help! We have a cabinet fund, and you do not have to spend your own money, unless you’re donating items. We have a list of item suggestions available, and if you’re interested, please see Kira or call the office. Please make sure to turn in your receipts to the office to be reimbursed! Thank you.
