Prayer Walk/Drive, April 11th - 12-1:30pm

Everyone is encouraged to attend this event! Come rain or shine and let us know you will be coming so we don't leave you behind. When you arrive at Rockport UMC for the Prayer Walk/Drive, please park by Wooster Rd.  Be sure to remember your mask and socially distance yourself from others.  We will begin our time together listening to this prayer song  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YZZzgJB33E  and pray as a whole and walk the church grounds/prayer labyrinth and pray for Rockport church.  After this journey we will hand out prayer directions for different routes to walk/drive for 30 minutes in the neighborhood.  We will reconvene in the church parking lot and fill out a post-it-note with your prayer for Rockport or how you felt the Holy Spirit moved you during this walk/drive.  Prayers will then be placed on the whiteboard to represent Rockport's prayer wall. We will conclude with the Lord's prayer.  Thank you for your time and love of God.

If you aren't able to attend the prayer walk/drive, we continue to invite you to join us in daily prayer as we seek to discern God's direction for our future, setting a mission and vision that will help us live more fully into God's call.  Our 8:00 prayer appears below and we invite you to join us in daily prayer at 8am, 8pm, or both with our Rockport UMC 8:00 Discernment Prayer. More than that, we know that prayer is powerful, even more so when done in community.

ROCKPORT HAPPENINGS!

FOR THE WHOLE CHURCH:

Hello Rockport Family! The kids and Youth are concentrating on the Take What You Need Cabinet for their Lenten Mission. Since the Cabinet is here FOREVER, We want to make sure we remind everyone that it is still out there! During the Pandemic, it has been serving a LARGE community of people - we’re conservatively saying around 50, but we think it’s a much larger number. But we are running into problems keeping up with items to put into the cabinet.

Please see the List enclosed in the Cabinet Graphic below for suggestions! While the pandemic is on, we’re also taking non perishable foods as well. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
