BOOK CLUB: Please join us August 27^th @7:00pm in the Parlor, for our next book club. “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, published in 1943, is a semi-autobiographical novel by American writer Betty Smith. It follows the life of Francie Nolan, a young girl growing up in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn in the early 20th century. The narrative, told from Francie's perspective, unfolds amidst poverty and the challenges of immigrant life, emphasizing the power of education and the resilience of the human spirit.  Hope to see everyone on August 27^th for food, fun, fellowship, and discussion.
